Question :
Jun 11, 2021 Open the disk image, then open the.pkg installer inside the disk image. It installs an app named Install Version Name. Open that app from your Applications folder to begin installing the operating system. MacOS Sierra 10.12 can upgrade El Capitan, Yosemite, Mavericks, Mountain Lion, or Lion. WARNING: 2018-001 security update doesn't work atm (won't boot). Please don't update to the lastest patch yet until a solution is found. This is one way to In.
- Make sure you have Install OS X El Capitan.app in your Application Folder 2. Select 'On an external drive' on the main MCPF window. Then, choose the disk you want to install the El Capitan installer on. Click install and prompt your password. Boot the computer you want to install El Capitan on with 'alt' held and select.
- Some of the Mac systems that do not meet up with the minimum hardware requirements for Mac OS X El Capitan include: iMac 4.1 to 6.1, MacBook 1.1 to 4.1, MacBook Pro 1.1 to 2.1, MacBook Air 1.1, Mac Mini 1.1 to 2.1, Mac Pro 1.1 to 2.1, and Xserve 1.1 to 2.1.
I read somewhere that it is possible to install the latest version of OSX 10.10 Yosemite on my Mac, even though the official installer refuses to install.
Can you give me any directions ?
Answer :
Installing newer versions of OSX on slightly older Macs that do not meet the official system requirements can be done using MacPostFactor (MCPF).
MacPostFactor also supports installing OSX versions up to OSX 10.10 Yosemite on older Macs. And a new version that supports installing OSX 10.11 El_Capitan is in the works.

…in short :
!!! THIS IS FOR (RATHER) EXPERIENCED MAC-USERS ONLY, AND SHOULD NOT BE DONE ON YOUR ‘ONE AND ONLY’ MAC !!!
!! REMEMBER : DO FOLLOW THE COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS THAT CAN BE FOUND HERE : MacPost Factor info page on MacRumors.com
…that should be it !

Install El Capitan On Mac Pro 1 1
- If the installer asks to unlock your disk, enter the password you use to log in to your Mac.
- If the installer doesn't see your disk, or it says that it can't install on your computer or volume, you might need to erase your disk first.
- If the installer offers you the choice between installing on Macintosh HD or Macintosh HD - Data, choose Macintosh HD.
- Allow installation to complete without putting your Mac to sleep or closing its lid. Your Mac might restart and show a progress bar several times, and the screen might be empty for minutes at a time.
After installation is complete, your Mac might restart to a setup assistant. If you're selling, trading in, or giving away your Mac, press Command-Q to quit the assistant without completing setup. Then click Shut Down. When the new owner starts up the Mac, they can use their own information to complete setup.
